Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
The European Directive 2002/95 / EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment is in force since the beginning of July 2006 and directly applicable in all Member States. The main objective of the RoHS Directive is the restriction of undesirable substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The European Directive 2002/95 / EC (RoHS) has been replaced by the European Directive 2011/65 / EU (RoHS II) which came into force on January 3, 2013.
The substances concerned are:
- Hexavalent chromium
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs)
